This is perfect because it hides behind my badge, and all it takes is a quick glance for me to know if my client's vitals are within range. I love the fact that it is not only organized by age, but also by weight (lbs and kg), which is the true determining factor! I eventually want to work in a pediatric hospital setting and I feel this will come in handy as it not only shows vitals, but also brief synopsis of milestones. This is very handy to have to be able to glance at when needed, because if you are anything like me, I have yet to commit pediatric vitals to memory. I am currently going to school to get my RN and just finished my peds semester. I honestly wish I had this card to use as a study aid. It wasn't until I got a job in pediatrics that I started to look for job aids. So, I recommend this to nursing students as well to use as a flash card for studying! As a NICU RN, it seems like a crucial part of my job. I will use this card until I have memorized everything myself. It’s very handy/accurate. I do have to say, however, it’s not as sturdy as I thought it would be. The material is very bendy because it’s not actual ID material (the harder/thicker material). I’m going to get it laminated to get the most use out of it without it fading (as I’ve read happens on some of the reviews). Nonetheless, I recommend it to everyone who will be working with infant patients!
