After using this high chair for the first day, I feel compelled to leave a review for it, so that it will be easier for other parents to make a decision. My son is 2 month old, so he diesn't need a high chair to eat yet. But he likes to interact with us, eye contact, talking, etc.. When we have dinner, we used to put him on a baby swing, which is too low, and he is not at the same level with us. He will get bored very soon and one of us has to constantly look down and talk to him. This high chair, with the adjustable seat that can be almost flat, is so comfortable for the baby and now he can comfortably sit at the table with us. And we can push him near us wherever we are. The quality of this chair is impeccable, I feel it will last forever. And, it's so intuitive, I don't even need to look at the manual to put it up, and make all the adjustment. It's such an engineer wonder. You will know what I am talking about when you use it. It's so user friendly. Some other reviews said it's hard to clean. Or is it easy to wipe it clean?** A: No. It's very easy to wipe clean with the exception of the straps. The chair is some sort of fake leather (but not cheesy looking). The fabric straps tend to need a bit more scrubbing if stained but usually they don't get too dirty if you use a large bib. **Q: Did you use this also as a piece of 'furniture' for your infant? i.e. baby in it facing you while watching tv etc. so baby could be up high and near?** A: Absolutely! It's a beautiful baby sitter. Every time I got home from work and had to prepare dinner I would put him in the chair to play with toys and just watch me make dinner. It's a wonderful high chair. It looks beautiful in our kitchen. Can't imagine having a typical bulky ugly high chair after having this one. Worth every penny. No regrets. **Q: Is leg rest removable, or can it swing back out of the way for a tall child? Would there be a fit issue for a baby in 97th % for height/weight?** A: The leg rest does adjust all the way back but our son has been in 98+ % since birth and he still uses the foot rest (he is now 2) **Q: Can you 'unlock' the wheels so you don't have to hold the buttons down to move the chair? Also, how much hand strength is needed to remove the tray?** A: I believe you cannot unlock the wheels. And it's better like that for safety reasons. You don't want your little one cruising on furniture that moves around. Also the strength needed to remove the tray is not so much. I love this high chair. I have it for 2.5 years and now using it with my 8 month old baby after using it with my first kid. He is now 2.8 years old. I strongly recommend this high chair. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ New parents - Siesta for the win *by H***D on 25 March 2018* As first time parents, we are absolutely THRILLED with our decision to purchase the Siesta. I’m an extensive researcher when it comes to buying products for our little one. I read hundreds of reviews and take weeks to make a decision. I can’t believe how much I love this chair. We love ALL of the features and haven’t experienced any of the issues others have had with the tray or maneuvering the chair around the house. The tray glides in and out of the slots, effortlessly and with one hand. I was a little worried after reading other reviewer’s experiences that it wouldn’t line up correctly but it’s SO easy to attach and take off (just squeeze and glide). Also, I really like that it rests on the back of the chair when not in use. I watched some YouTube videos that showed that feature. As for rolling the chair, it is difficult to roll forward. This can easily be fixed by rolling it BEHIND YOU. It moves every which way and isn’t a problem at all. I also read comments that you have to hold down the buttons to the go position while rolling, which would make it difficult. This is NOT the case! You can lock the wheels in the “stop” position, or temporarily move the chair by holding down the buttons, OR you can lock the buttons in the “go” position and then roll the chair around freely. We love that we can adjust the chair to reach our bar table, it’s the PERFECT height. We also adjust it to the lowest setting if we’re in the living room and sitting on the couch. The recline is fantastic, although our daughter hasn’t fallen asleep in the chair yet. It’s an excellent option for newborns that are bottle feeding, we’ve used it for that a couple of times. Chair is super easy to clean and wipe down and we have a MESSY eater. I also really like the buckle and harness because it’s easy to clean and is easy to snap together. I hated the harnesses I looked at on other high chair options. Too many crevices and very difficult to undo. Overall, we couldn’t be more excited with our purchase.
