### ⭐⭐⭐ Cursive not calligraphy

Not really calligraphy.  I got these to teach calligraphy to a small group of girls ages 8-11 for a small private school where I teach art.  I'm sure the owner is going to want me to return them unless she decides to use for cursive practice.  When I think of calligraphy, I think of the letters that the words "Hand Lettering" on the cover look like.  The practice is nothing like that at all.  See the picture of one letter example "k".  Very disappointed.  These books might be worth $3.99 but nothing more.
  

### ⭐⭐ No Calligraphy in this book

The product description would be much more accurate if the word calligraphy was removed from the title.  If you are expecting a beginners guide to calligraphy this is not the book for you.  All the work done within the book is basic script.  There is none of the beautiful (even if simple) calligraphy I was expecting.  If you would like to improve your penmanship this is an okay book but it is very simple and won't do much to make your handwriting more beautiful.
  

### ⭐⭐ Not really calligraphy at all

The lettering on the cover is the only calligraphy in the book.  The rest is no more than practice areas for drawing circles and shapes and cursive-type writing.  This would be great for someone wanting to improve their cursive penmanship, but by beginner, I think this book means someone who isn't comfortable with cursive writing.  I returned it immediately upon receipt.
