Thanks** A: Not sure. However, the 5300 DFc does not have an electric start but the 5300 DFcv does. The 5300 DFcv has a push button electric start, the other does not. Mine were connecter through a UPS to the generator and the UPS' were not happy with the generator power. Inverters are better suited for sensitive electronics devices and communications. Most electronics communications devices designed and built today have electronic line noise filters integrated into the power supply circuitry and they may work just fine on generator. I did not attempt to run the computers straight from the generator power during my initial test run. My main concern at that time was two full refrigerators and a full stand alone freezer.
