It is a colourless oily liquid that acts as a bactericide. Besides its widespread use in cosmetics, this product is also used in insect repellent, antiseptic, and as a solvent. BENEFITS Prevents bacteria Prolongs product shelf life Stable Versatile It is used in many applications such as cosmetics, vaccines and pharmaceuticals as a preservative. It is found in perfume, foundation, blush, lipstick, soaps, and hand sanitiser. 2-Phenoxy Ethanol is used as a fixative for perfumes, an insect repellent, topical antiseptic, solvent for cellulose acetate, some dyes, inks, and resins, in preservatives, and in organic synthesis. Highly effective against bacterial contamination.
