The magnetic image goes away; yet there is a slight memory in the picture. As soon as you bring it up to another magnet, that "ghost image" of the prior viewing goes away.This is very amazing stuff. You can really see a 3D structure of the field as you move close and away from your magnet source.One drawback is gauss responsivity. In other words, I dont thing fields below say 10 guass respond on the film.
