**Q: does this motor require 2 deep cycle batteries or will it fully run on one?**

The 86lb trolling motor runs on 24V. You will need 2 x 12V Deep Cycle Marine batteries connected in series to operate this motor. If you hook it up to a single 12V battery, the motor will still work, but only at half speed. If you have any other questions or need anything else, please contact us at (866) 721-0002! **Q: i notice it have 3 blade, does it move 14" boat faster than 2 blade?**

A 3-blade propeller will produce more acceleration and a faster top speed than a 2-blade propeller. However, because of the extra blade, it will decrease the battery life more quickly than the 2-blade propeller. **Q: Would using a 36 volt battery just make it run faster or ruin the motor?**
A: Mine has a circuit breaker. It would trip I'm sure. The motor is rated for 12 volts. If you bye passed the breaker it would run fast but over heat and ruin the motor.

**Q: Instead of two 12v batteries, can I run this on one 24v battery?**

Our 86lb Thrust Trolling Motor requires 24V to operate at full capacity. Whether it's 2 x 12V connected in series or a single 24V battery, as long as it generates 24V, it will work. I do not use it often but after 3 years it still works like new, no issues. Moves my inflatable boat with 3 people just fine, speed around 5km/h (I can see it is about twice of speed of walking man), easy to install, easy to control, easy to adjust speed. Power consumption looks quite good. After an hour with 30Ah lithium battery it indicates full battery. I think, it is not correct as indicator is for lead-acid batteries but when I charge the battery, the charger indicates more than half of remained charge.
