But once I got a replacement, everything has been great!The first one came in a product box inside an Amazon shipping mailer, so I don’t know if the issue was on Amazon and the warehouse, or the Olarhike company itself. But, immediately upon opening the box, I could tell something was up- the charging cord was assembled and laying on top, there were finger print and droplet marks all over the product, and when I popped the lid to look inside of the basin, there was a still-soggy USED filter and condensation inside. DISGUSTING, not to mention the potential diseases animals can spread to each other through water. Fine in a shared home, not fine from a stranger’s animal. Other warning signs were loose, empty packaging and twist ties in the bottom of the box.I immediately returned it and requested a replacement, giving it one more shot before I planned to move on and never trust this company again. But they pulled through. Replacement came fairly quickly (5 days) and not in an Amazon package this time, and it was clearly new, no prints, etc, charger in a box. And most importantly, my cats use it, and I love it! I got it to replace a plastic fountain that I’d had for years and was fed up with the 45 minutes it took to clean, yet still somehow was gross again in a few days with many tiny parts that even a toothbrush couldn’t fully reach to clean. One of my cats was also getting black crust on his chin. I will never go back to plastic! With this stainless steel fountain, cleaning is 10 minutes for a thorough clean, just 3 parts and no million little crevices, the filtering works well, the adjustable spout flow is nice, and I’m very happy with this purchase! My cat’s chin is also already significantly better. I highly recommend. Just open the lid every couple days to check water level (since it’s stainless, you can’t see when it’s running low, and it doesn’t shut off automatically if not enough water). I had bought him a plastic fountain last year that he hated so much he used to purposely knock it over. Then he started drinking out of the toilet. With this in mind I knew i needed a better quality fountain made of glass or stainless steel to fight bacteria. I researched stainless steel bowls and saw the great reviews on this one as well as a wonderful price and figured why not. This is just the absolute best bowl. Super easy to clean, and my cat loves drinking out of it. I love the adjustable nozzle as well for kitties who like to drink out of the sink type of water (not my cat, but i know of some cats who do). The fountain came within FOUR hours of ordering. Insane! I have been trying it out for about 3 weeks and couldn’t be happier and feel so much better about my kitty getting enough water. It doesn’t get as dirty with film as a plastic fountain would which makes a happy cat! I decided to wait to buy more filters until I knew my kitty liked it (It only comes with 1 filter and says to replace every 2-3 weeks).
