( definitely enough to break it, if used foolishly)4 different steering mods changeable on the fly from the remote.reasonable runtime of about 20 minutes on the supplied 1800mah batteryNow, the less then good.the transmitter, wile programmable, is a pain in the butt to navigate and adjust, even with the instructions.the servos are plastic geared, so it is literally not a question of if they will break, But when.the servos are also non standard. They are the size of standard servos, but, the exposed gear you mount the horn to, Is not a standard size. My buddy broke the gear mount right off his servo ( after more then a fair amount of abuse ) I replaced the servo with a standard one I had in my flight box, and wile the servo mounted to the truck no problem, the heavy duty plastic horn that came with the truck, would not go onto the servo, and we had to jury rig a horn and linkage mount.this truck is slow. Slow is kinda to be expected from a crawler, however, this one clocks in much slower then the old version of the rockslide, ( my buddies is a older version, so they were raced head to head ) and lacks power to do hops when in the rocks. wile this will most likely make the overall truck last longer, it also makes it a little less capable.I have ordered a 2 stick transmitter for this truck, so I can set it up with independent/variable front and rear steering. Overall, a good value, but as with most RC toys, You can expect to spend a little money here and there to replace things. I personally recommend ordering a pair of metal geared tork servos right off the bat. just make sure you order ones that have solid horns. ( longer stronger horns then average preferred )**update** 4-17-14After about 8 actual hours of crawling, both front and rear servos crapped out and need replacing. This was expected as stated above, but I did expect them to last a bit longer before needing replacement.also, since moving it to a different transmitter/receiver setup. the truck has become much faster. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Doglegged to start - made wrong? *by R***R on Reviewed in the United States on January 13, 2018* Just took it out of the box brand new and thought wow it's a good looking truck but something looks weird. The front axle is actually a quarter inch back on the right side of the vehicle right out of the box with all the linkage in the same holes? You know I understand this is a crawler and what not but it should be made dimensional equal you would think.I've been in this Hobbies since this hobby existed and I've never received the vehicle that was weird this way, the right front tire is actually a quarter of an inch further back than the left one.And all the linkage is in the same spots?The left side is square 90 degree to the workbench and the right side sits away a quarter of an inch.Cool looking truck though, I'm going to run it this afternoon and see what happens but it shouldn't be screwed up like this from brand new out of the box.Got a chance to take it out for its first run and I think I got one with a bad ESC also, if I run full throttle forward it will run about 4 seconds and then it glitches and then another four seconds and it glitches and it keeps doing that, but only in forward? I sent that truck back the new one is running fine. so I raised my review to four stars because this truck is FUN .I had no problems with the servos, or any other part. I don't see why people are? I took this truck out and ran in hard climbing, wheeling in ditches, climbing dunes, and no problems, I mean maybe these people are binding it tight against something and flat out torquing the heck out of things??? Common sense goes a long way, I mean I have run plastic servo arms on every car / truck/ buggy I have had over the past 30+ years in the hobby racing 1-10 & 1-8 scale trucks and buggy's and never broke one. Even crashing at 50 mph .Despite the first truck being doglegged and the ESC glitching like that ( which I am really glad Amazon replaced that one for me ) thi struck is a whole lot of fun to run . ### ⭐⭐⭐ This looks like a pretty nice RC car *by K***R on Reviewed in the United States on December 30, 2015* This looks like a pretty nice RC car, but I have to agree about the quality control others mentioned here. One of the Velcro straps that holds the battery in place failed at the thermal seam. This was pretty east to work around with rubber band. The battery connector is pretty finicky. The connector pins are a bit loose in the connectors and it makes it difficult to reconnect after charging. The more serious problem was the front gear box failed to provided drive after about 1 hour of use. I opened it up and found the set screw that held the front motor drive gear in place had fallen out. You pretty much have to pull apart the whole gear box and front axle to fix this. It was a bit tricky for me to disassemble the front axle/box and I think I lost a small black lock washer someplace, but after getting it all back together it seems to be working fine for now. The motor gear was of a hard metal and the metal set screw fell out. It did not go back in easy so I suspect it was never installed correctly. The other plastic gears looked pretty tough to me and I didn't notice any damage. Maybe I will get the metal gears someday. Overall the car looks like it is well made. It goes pretty good in the snow and the dirt and I had much fun trying to get it to climb the steep dirt/gravel hills in my yard. If you like RC trucks and want one to work on then this one may be ok if you don't mind working on it a little. This is my first hobby grade RC car. I guess hobby means you have to work on it right out of the box. It it easy to open the gear box window to see if this gear is loose, but it is not so easy to fix. I have not had any trouble with the servos burning up yet. This is not something I would give to a 10 year old. Maybe 16 would be ok if he was mechanically minded.
