I literally just posted my raving review then used it, well more like tried to use it, and it broke off into bits. I just tapped it down and that was it, 4 bits of metal came off and the spring and it no longer works.This product works veery well and extremely sturdy. The only drawback I can think of is that the screws are visible. If it had come with a cover then this item would be more aesthetically pleasing. It came with screws that has the drill bit on the end to drill through metal/wood so you don't need a drill to install this. It works very well and you can easily operate it with no hands. It is just attached to a spring so when you step on it, it will draw up the kick stand. I would definitely purchase this again if I need a kick stand doorstop. Best I have used since I don't need to bend over and dirty my hand to use it. ### ⭐⭐ kind of noisy & the spring broke within a few months *by J***4 on Reviewed in the United States on January 15, 2016* I just installed this on a workplace bathroom/utility room door that we often prop open. I prefer stepping on the pedal instead of digging my toe under it, (which puts bad torque on the thing and caused our last one to eventually break). The only downside is it's pretty noisy when it springs up, making a really loud metal-on-metal clash. I'm planning to add a stick-on bumper pad to try dampening the sound. It seems well made. Time will tell, since it has a spring in there & more moving parts....update: this continued to be really noisy & then the spring broke within a few month's of daily use. It bent the metal in such a way that you couldn't put on a new spring, so ended up in the trash. I'm going back to a more standard type of door stop.
