As your drilling a hole in a wall its pressed against the wall catching the dust inside the rubber sleeve. The material they use to make it could be of the same materials you would find on a fighter aircraft. It works great, I recommend it! **Q: Is it universal and works on any drill?** A: I believe it works on any drill **Q: Will this work with a wen drill press?** A: This unit didn’t work on my DeWalt drill driver. I don’t know if it worked for yours, but I threw it away wouldn’t spend another penny for this unit did not work. **Q: Does the collector cup compress so that most of drill bit can be used?** A: Yes, it compress but it very hard it didn’t work for me. Maybe my drills are too short but it did not compress enough for the drill to do it job ! I gave it a -1 star. I do not have it anymore I believe I just threw it in the trash.
