The tag has NO instructions as to whether or not it is machine washable. However we have successfully washed other stuffed animals successfully by placing them in a pillow case/tied off (or a zippered pillow protector case works very nicely). Balance your machine with another critter or other like items, wash on delicate, spin out twice and air dry. When dry a nice brushing usually brings back the nap on the fur of stuffed animals. We got a moose thay says 1+Months (different brand) and son was pulling out "fur" by the handful.** A: It's really plush and nicely made, but with that being said, you know a baby would have that fur in their little mouth so may not be the best choose for a 6 month old.
