You should be able to switch out switches as long as your cherry blue are mean to be NOT-Soldered to the PCB. This KB is also RGB, so you need to make sure your switches have clear tops if you plan to switch the switches and want to keep the RGB effect. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Keyboard *by P***T on April 7, 2017* These are red switches, and as such, they're super responsive but quite loud. They do not ghost, so that means this is a mechanical keyboard and not a "mechanical" keyboard some sellers try to pawn off on you (spoiler: those aren't true mechanical keyboards). The only downside is you WILL have to spend 10 dollars extra for a cap pulling/o-ring set to soften the noise these keys make. Even if you do not bottom out they are still louder than any of the other keys unless you type super slowly/softly, or at the very least, they're as loud as a blue switch. Basically as loud as a type-writer, but with a plastic echo instead of a metallic one.Pros:+Extremely fast/responsive+No ghosting (OFC)+Full customization for the lights (custom colors and changing colors PER KEY too)+Keys can be customized for macros using the software (good for games like OW if you do not use voice chat)+Very sturdy+Nice feel and comfort+Easily on par with 90-100 dollar mechanical keyboardsCons:-Loud keysNeutral:=Odd key fonts=Colors don't look entirely consistent (more emphasis on 100% customization vs 100% light consistency)=Red switches prioritize responsiveness so you might mistype with a light press of a keyAll in all, a few "no duh" nitpicks aside, this is a very good keyboard. Just buy a 12 dollar set of clear o rings (with cap puller) and you're good to go. ### ⭐ Build quality and support are terrible *by T***N on August 13, 2018* I bought this keyboard on January 12, 2018. It is August 13, 2018. The d key started having issues about six months in. Sometimes, nothing happens when I press it. I thought perhaps the tolerance on the keycap was too large, and it wasn't making contact with the switch. I took off the keycap and tried putting paper in it so that it would make better contact. Did not work. I took off the keycap completely and tried to actuate the switch with my finger. Same issue. I tried to contact REIDEA for an exchange, they told me to change the key myself. There is no extra key and no extra switch provided in the box that came with my keyboard. It's really hard to play games on a "Mechanical Gaming Keyboard" when strafing right randomly doesn't work during a game. It's even more frustrating when reidea wants you to try to fix an issue they delivered at cost. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good costumer service decent keyboard. *by A***R on January 10, 2017* First keyboard I got was faulty with a bad down key and they were prompt about getting me a replacement with no need to send back the faulty one. Did a little bit of investigating to bring out it had a bad diode soldered in a new 1n4146 diode and now a have a fully functional backup. The key switches have a very smooth feel but the plastic used in this switches seem thinner than what is used in a cherry switch. It is a solid keyboard and the lighting keeps me apeased. Is is a good fast keyboard but does quit feel as solid as my thermaltake meka. The provided software is very lacking. I wish I could just write the scripts to run the rgb leds so I can make other lighing pattern and animations.
