I only used it on card so didn’t even attempt to remove it. It does leave scissors sticky when cutting it. **Q: Would the tape take paint of a wall? But, if you’re thinking of cutting pieces off to stick to the back of something you want to mount, then expect it to take ten minutes per strip to remove the backing! Rather spend the time peeling back the red backing at the beginning of the roll, and cut a bit of the sticky tape off and discard it. Then peel off the tape, cut the tape only, and use that. Yes it sticks to your fingers, try keeping your fingers dry with baby powder.
