Do you dissolve this in water? If so how much propylene glycol to how much powder?** A: Hello, you have to dissolve this in water but it won't dissolve unless you heat the water. I put a bowl w/a tsp of powder & maybe 1/2 cup of water, then heat for 30 seconds. Then stir. You have to experiment--unless you heat it enough it won't dissolve properly & there will be lumps. Propylene glycol is alcohol, I've never used that. But once I get the thickness right it really helps my skin. **Q: Does it have an acidic taste?** A: This is not intended for consumption. Read the MSDS for it. External use only. I honestly do not know if the question is meant as a joke. Consumption even diluted is likely to cause permanent harm or death. **Q: How to disolve this in water?** A: You need to stir it w/water, put into a glass bowl & heat in microwave for a short time. Maybe 1 or two tsp in a cup of water. I use this for a facial. You have to experiment w/how thick or thin you need it to be. After it's heated stir it. I am intrigued by its supposed ability to potentially block DHT and therefore work against hair loss when applied topically.Adding 6 grams to a 60 ml bottle of minoxidil makes a 10% solution of azelaic acid, and it dissolves easily in the alcohol-based solution (it isn't very soluble in water, however). Just add it, shake it, and then I let it sit for a bit.I can't attest to whether it is working yet (I just added it a few weeks ago), but I am hoping it will help add some extra hair growth. This comes in a resealable zip-lock type pouch.The price is really good when you consider, this is enough powder to last for over 15 months if used in a 10% solution as I described, twice a day per minoxidil directions. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fine powder that dissolves quickly *by L***B on May 6, 2021* I'm not an expert in Azelaic acid so I'm not a good judge as to ' actual quality'. I can say it came well packaged, looks and seems like a quality product. I've been reading that adding this in the proper concentrations may enhance the effectiveness of other topical hair treatments like minoxidil. I've learned that AA does not dissolve well in water but does much better in ethyl alcohol, propylene glycol, or dipropylene glycol. Still figuring out the right ratios but it does add a tingle or slight sting when first applied.
