Review: Strong capable mid grade climbing rope for those on a budget / Great for bug-out bags ! - Strong climbing rope, great for preparedness bags such as the bug-out bag, or for outdoor wilderness expedition kits. I got the 64' hank, plenty long for most emergency/ preparedness applications. Fits in or on most packs with no issue. Comes with a carry bag to keep rope clean, bag has a siding barrel cord lock to keep debris out. Very high value. Got mine on a deep deep sale, would highly recommend when deeply discounted! Bargain deal!!!!! Makes an excellent safety rope or primary climbing rope. Made of high density nylon, very rugged and perfect for readiness bags / kits. I keep one hank in the vehicle and one with my bug-out bag. Easy to tie and untie knots with this rope, has a excellent texture and fit and finish. It may not be the highest grade climbing rope in the world but it's plenty strong to hold my weight all day long! Awesome value, very happy with purchase! Review: Marginally thinner than stated, outer wrap resists abrasion, ends seem well put together. - I needed 1 bare end, so I cut one of the ends off and removed the heatshrink to see how it was put together. I used a hot knife to cut the end off which left a very nice clean sealed end with no splits! At this price, I thought the ends might just be wrapped under the heatshrink, but I was happy to see that it's actually sewn together as stated, so it can be used for anchor line without fear of the end popping open!!! Sold as 1/3 inch rope.... that's 0.333 inch or 8.46mm. Where the fibers have stiffened from heat sealing the cut end, I get a diameter reading of about 0.350 inches or just over 1/3 inch. but anywhere else along the rope, I read about 0.310 inches or almost exactly 8mm, which is a little under 1/3 inch, and if I stretch the rope, the diameter drops to about 0.295 inches +/- 0.005 inch. I also have some similarly wrapped light duty 3/8 inch (0.325 inch 230lb WLL) diameter rope, and while the 3/8" rope 'should' be slightly smaller, it's actually slightly larger than this rope. I used this to safely pull down a 14ft x 12ft x 10ft triangle of galvanized metal roofing that was lifted up and folded over by Hurricane Milton. There are no wear marks on the rope where it rubbed the rough edge of the good roofing. On the cut-off piece shown in the first included photo, I raked one side of the rope against a pair of sharp scissors about 3 dozen times, and just barely started to see some minimal fraying starting as seen on the second photo. This is a much better result than I've seen from some other similar ropes, including the 3/8" rope which had a failure of the outer wrap after 6 times being dragged across the same scissors. Seems strong enough for any application I would put it through, but wish I had a way to test the actual break strength, just to see how accurate the info is!

A: Works fine for, inspect your rope, don’t use it for rock climbing because you will fall. I have a pricey rope that’s so much better in all aspects but this one worked today

A: The one I ordered is 30ft. But there are different sizes, the rope is tough and reliable, holds up well in bad weather and heat.

I needed 1 bare end, so I cut one of the ends off and removed the heatshrink to see how it was put together. funny this about this purchase. i bought this short rope, i have a 150 rope for the same thing, but this one was to get out of my man lift if it failed..... it failed this is a great self rescue to carry in a man lift ONLY IF YOU ARE TRAINED TO SELF RESCUE. for those of you who are not, you call the fire department and tell them you have a "high angle" rescue. use those words, so they know they need a ladder truck or aerial lift. this is a great thing for self rescue, and think tree work where you belay on the truck and need a down path in the event of something like....needing to get down. quality rope, i speak from experience.
