But remember, it is tape, and the adhesive is strong and may damage paint on car. **Q: I want to adhere this to a large panel on the side of our built in fridge am i making a mistake? if i ever want to remove it i don’t want it to ruin** A: Use Goo Gone. Give it time. I keep an empty aluminum disposable pan under my sink to remove most labels. Isopropyl alcohol is for the bits remaining. You’ll need to keep reapplying the Goo Gone on a vertical surface. I swear- why don’t people know about Goo Gone? Isopropyl alcohol doesn’t work. **Q: How easy to remove the tape? Any residue on the wall?** A: I have to disagree with the other answers — I just removed strips of this from two different surfaces (varnished wood and painted drywall) and removing the residue wasn’t trivial. The tape itself is sharp, so you ideally want a metal paint scraper to get it started. Once started, the actual peeling is easy because the tape is metal and can’t be ripped. The backing has an intermediate foam layer though that disintegrates when you peel it off. The residue from this is very strong — I couldn’t get it off cleanly by hand with either 70% isopropyl alcohol or with Goof Off spray. I eventually had to get out my power drill with a nylon brush attachment. Even then it left a faint outline of the glue residue on both surfaces. **Q: How strongly will a magnet stick to this?** A: I used it a craft carnival for magnet display. It worked perfectly. I'm not sure what you need it for, but is the best magnetic "tape, sheet" out there. That's not necessarily a drawback, but it's important to know going into one's project. It's a trade off between the inflexibility and relative difficulty of working with solid steel vs the flexibility and ease of this product. It is a white, metallic like strip that is easily rolled / unrolled. It’s not solid, real steel. It is some mixture/alloy with ferrous material in it somehow. It has thin adhesive foamy tape on one side that adheres to the tape well, and then, after removing protective cover, to objects. I’ve tried on wood, metal, and plastic, and it works well on all. Pros: Flexible Strong Adhesive side works well sticking to things & is convenient Has a virtually invisible scratch protection film on the facing side, but is easily removable once you get it started. Optional to leave it on or not. I cut mine with a pair of tin snips, but could probably be cut with scissors. I can think of many applications this could be used for. Cons: About 1/2 as attractive to magnets as real steel. (It took two N52 Neodymium magnets on this to hold fast the same weight that one would on solid steel appliance). =========== Test your magnet(s) you'll use with it on your fridge / washing machine / other steel.
