I've used a few different types before but these are better fitting, more slender and tougher than the others. I have two sets for ladders used everyday for business and they allow work to proceed with risk of damage or marking to customers siding, eaves or fascia. I followed a recommendation I read before buying and used a rubber mallet to gentle tap the covers onto the ends of the extension ladders so they fit snug and essentially become a part of the ladder itself. Excellent value.
