The instructions say to sprinkle it on the floor and sweep it around to spread it, but the reviews I read said sprinkle a little on the floor in a corner to rub your shoes in. We did this, and it worked well. The reviews also said not to use too much, and it's definitely true! One guy in our group described it as trying to dance on ball bearings. Since tango follows a line of dance around the perimeter of the floor, the part of the floor just past where we had the wax pile became less sticky after a while. I eventually moved the can to the opposite corner, where the floor hadn't benefited from the wax wearing off our shoes. We just put a little in a corner of the room and have anyone with skid-resistant soles to lightly step in it. Works like a charm!
