Designed for professional-grade battery management, it integrates with Victron’s GX devices and VRM portal for remote global access, making it ideal for RVs, marine, and off-grid power setups. ## Description Battery "fuel-gauge", time-to-go indicator, and much more - The remaining battery capacity depends on the ampere-hours consumed, discharge current, temperature and the age of the battery. Complex software algorithms are needed to take all these variables into account. Next to the basic display options, such as voltage, current and ampere-hours consumed, the BMV-700 series also displays the state of charge, time to go, and power consumption in Watts. The BMV-712 features an additional input which can be programmed to measure the voltage (of a second battery), battery temperature or midpoint voltage. Review: With Bluetooth. - Foolproof robust Battery condition readout with Bluetooth functionalities. You can not go wrong . In my case for Lifepo4 Battery bank 4x paralel 12V DIY Camper. As I recall, everything you need is included. You will have to connect it to your battery bank, mount the shunt nearby and run the included wire from there to the monitor itself. There is probably a .pdf on the Victron website that has everything you will need to know. It's a very well made device and worth the higher price. Best wishes! **Q: My house batteries are up under my E-350 van, and are therefore exposed to the elements while driving along. OK for the shunt to be down there, too?** A: There is a RJ-45 connection that is not intended to get wet, so having it in an unprotected location is probably not a good idea, especially if road salt could get to it. If you can bring the battery negative cable into the van, that would be much better, or else use a weatherproof junction box. **Q: I have two 12v 31-series agm batteries wired in parallel. can anyone provide info on how the negative from the battery should be wired to the shunt?** A: After the two batteries are connected together, the negative from one of them goes to the shunt, and nothing else. The other side of the shunt goes to the negative bus bar, chassis ground, etc. It's important that no loads or charging devices connect directly to the battery negative, otherwise the flow will not be monitored by the shunt. **Q: I have just installed a victron 75/15 mppt & would like to install a display that does both 1) display battery level 2) show solar panel live status** A: The monitor will show current state of charge of the batteries. You can then scroll to the current inbound or outbound power in amps. The number will be plus showing net power from the panels minus current load. I hope that helps. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ With Bluetooth. *by M***R on 24 February 2025* Foolproof robust Battery condition readout with Bluetooth functionalities. You can not go wrong .
