It's a basic alarm clock that is easy to use. The flip feature is nice and there is no guessing whether the alarm is off or on, you can easily tell by looking.One annoying feature is that it beeps every time you push any button, even to adjust the alarm by a few minutes.I find that the backlight feature is sufficient to read it in the dark, however it is a little brighter than I would like and it is always on, illuminating my room. If I hit the snooze button, the backlight gets really bright. You can touch the top of the clock to briefly illuminate the face if you would rather not have continuous illumination throughout the night.
