I have only used the bent tip for instilling an antibiotic liquid that is a bit oily in my cat's ears. I draw some up from the prescription bottle, and put back what is too much. It's easier with the bent tip and the cat tolerates it well, considering he doesn't like having it done. It's a great product and a good value.
