It ran off 1 x AAA battery and lasted absolutely ages. Perhaps if you use Alkaline batteries then you'd get better results. The cheap zinc batteries might be fine for your remote control but they are also more prone to leakage and. You'd think they would be fine to use in a low power device like this but the fact it requires 2 of the things rather than 1 like my old one did, maybe it's more power hungry than expected. ## Frequently Bought Together - PRUNUS J-985 Pocket Radio Portable, AM FM Small Radios with Headphones and Back Clip, Mini Radios Transistor Supports FM Stereo, AAA Battery Operated Radio for Walking, Running, Fishing - Duracell Plus AAA Batteries (8 Pack) - Alkaline 1.5V - Up To 100% Extra Life - Reliability For Everyday Devices - 0% Plastic Packaging - 10-Year Storage - LR03 MN2400 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/365637872-j-985-pocket-radio-mini-am-fm-stereo-radio-portable](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/365637872-j-985-pocket-radio-mini-am-fm-stereo-radio-portable) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
