Tyler went to therapy, got his shit together and became the man he was wanted to be. Not just for Eden, but for himself.In my review for the previous book, I even mention that as much as the ending was soul crushing, it was understandable. Tyler even said, he only got clean and didn’t hit people FOR Eden. He wanted to be able to do the right thing for himself and because... it was the right thing. It’s admirable, and I respect the hell out of him for it.I so badly wanted Tyler to punch Eden’s dad in the face. The guy was a major douche and because he was the dad, he felt like he could say whatever he wanted. Ugh. Tyler’s mom was a saint though. She just wanted her boy to be happy, especially after everything he had been through.I loved Eden’s final thoughts, it really hit me. “We have grown, and we have learned, but most importantly, we have finally accepted ourselves.” Their story is about self-acceptance, and not worrying about what other people think about them. A beautiful ending, to a beautiful story. Eden had a tendency to be immature while Tyler was going through his own growth and removing himself from situations and relationships to better himself for Eden. This final book allowed them to delve into their mutual feelings as well as the hurtful treatment they both experienced. Once they were able to accept what they wanted, they were able to move forward without the repercussions of others voicing their opinions. This is what life is. It's not always pretty and sometimes things dont go the way we expect them to. People get hurt and yeah it sucks but it's all a part of life.
