Sometimes, the sharp edge was the problem. But just have pressure against a hard surface began to hurt after putting in many hours on it. So I read about these wrist wraps, bought 2, and gave them a try because I noticed the pain was sometimes worse AFTER a nights sleep. I think I was curling the hands in response to the pain, making it worse by cringing or something.My impressions are:PROSI noticed improvement within 3 days and stopped wearing them after 5 days.When the pain happened again after another computer project, again, 3-5 days use, pain gone.They work on either hand.The styrofoam ball bean bag inside forces your hand to rest in a cup shape. Like they would on a computer mouse.You can adjust how tight. I didn't wrap them tight up the arm. The hold was enough when on loose.They didn't make me feel warm (probably because they are open-hand)Sizing was good. I have a medium sized hand, 6' reach with arms outstretched, slender build.Stitching and fabric appear well made. I have a thumb/wrist thing I got from a clinic that cost $120 out of pocket that fell apart after a month of daily use. This looks to be about as good or better.Decent pricing.CONSPutting the strap on can easily feel too tight.Hard to do some things (like check your phone) because of the rigidity (which is the point of wearing them)Had to unhinge and scutch the fitbit band to its last hole up the arm for wearing at night.Follow-up:I started getting pain in the wrists from extended cycling. These helped a bit, but not 100%. Maybe 50%. So it shows that carpel tunnels you get from being on a laptop is different than how the hands go for cycling. It helped, but not as completely as pain caused by the other activity. Cycling must put more stress in other areas of the wrist as well that this doesn't aim to immobilize to help. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great sleeping brace! *by D***N on Reviewed in the United States on June 28, 2018* I purchased this brace to keep my hands from falling asleep while I sleep. I was using smaller braces that were not specifically for sleeping, but my hands still fell asleep. I decided to try this because I now have nerve damage, and I am trying to minimize the damage until I have Carpal Tunnel surgery. This brace works so well and is so comfortable, I purchased another for my other hand even through it was $18 (when I bought the 2nd one, it was on sale for $15.) My hands don't fall asleep! It has a metal split inside and is a long brace, so it covers from where my fingers meet my palm to about 1/3 of the way up my forearm, with two separate straps that attach wherever you need with Velcro. This is good because you want it to totally immobilize your wrist while you sleep to prevent your wrist from curling up and putting pressure on the nerve. But it is also really comfortable; I have no trouble sleeping with one on each arm every night. It has a bean bag type cushion in the part where your palm goes that tapers down the wrist, and the rest is very plushy yet stable material. Super comfortable! I would definitely recommend these to anyone who has to split their wrists at night because these really work. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product made by a great company *by S***Y on Reviewed in the United States on February 13, 2017* I had purchased this to help out with the Repetive Strain Injury that I had recently found myself suffering from. I was experiencing pain first in my right palm (just below my pinkie) and then in left index finger. I am a programmer so my hands are a very important part of my livelihood. After doing some research online, I decided on purchasing this support brace to wear while I was sleeping, giving my wrist time to properly heal from the day's work.It took some getting used to at first, but in a few days my hands started to feel much better. This brace works well on both hands. If I'm feeling pain that day, wearing this at night goes a long way to relieve it. Highly recommend it.When I had a minor issue with the palm support coming apart, I emailed them to ask if there was anything that could be done to fix it.
