A: Yes, there are pockets on both sides capable of holding bottles. Easily hold 500ml - 1l bottles but it depends how full the backpack is as the pockets are not elastic/stretchy.

**Q: Can the shoulder straps be stored/removed for putting in the hold of an aircraft?**
