The Steam Generator is the ideal steam source when used in conjunction with a steam box. The compact steam machine holds up to 1.3 gallons of water to provide up to 2 hours of continuous steaming, making it a great addition to any woodworking workshop. When you need to refill, the unit heats up in as little as 23 minutes (fill with warm water to reduce this time). The steam generator also includes instructions on how to build your steam box and a steam box connector kit so you can be bending wood the same day. Review: Bad product - Just worked only 2 times and very next day stop working. Not truning on. Don't know what to do. Is there any warranty available ? Review: Excellent product - The instructions are clear. The product is easy to set up. The product works excellent and is easy to use. It is easy to fill up with water, and it boils quickly. Be sure to keep the steam box away from the boiler, as drips of water leak out of the pressure release hole in the steam box and could drift toward the electrical cord. The steam hose is long enough to prevent that from occurring as long as one is mindful of it. It serves its purpose well. ## Features - 1500-Watt - 1.3-Gallon capacity - Over 2 hours of steam per fill - 23 minutes steam up time - 12-Feet super cool running hose ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B005JRF43M | | Best Sellers Rank | #2,637,741 in Home & Kitchen ( See Top 100 in Home & Kitchen ) #4 in Steam Generator Iron | | Brand | Earlex | | Brand Name | Earlex | | Capacity | 3.8 Liters | | Colour | Gray | | Country of Origin | USA | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 846 Reviews | | Form Factor | Handheld | | Global Trade Identification Number | 05016501003148 | | Heat Time | 23 Minutes | | Included Components | Steam Generator, power cord, hose, adapter, manual, instructions on how to build a steam box | | Item Dimensions D x W x H | 31.8D x 21.6W x 30.5H Centimeters | | Item Display Dimensions | 33.5 x 30.4 Centimeters | | Item Weight | 4.01 Pounds | | Manufacturer | Wagner Spray Tech Corp | | Model Name | Steam Generator | | Model Number | SS77USSG | | Number of Items | 1 | | Part Number | SS77USSG | | Power Source Type | Corded Electric | | Special Feature | Includes steam box adaptor and instructions on how to build a steam box | | Special Features | Includes steam box adaptor and instructions on how to build a steam box | | Style Name | Modern | | Surface Recommendation | Counter Top | | Tank Volume | 1.3 Gallons | | UPC | 715663001935 803982829542 | | Unit Count | 1.0 Count | | Warranty Description | Contact seller of record | | Wattage | 1500 | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Earlex - **Included Components:** Steam Generator, power cord, hose, adapter, manual, instructions on how to build a steam box - **Model Name:** Steam Generator - **Special Feature:** Includes steam box adaptor and instructions on how to build a steam box - **Surface Recommendation:** Counter Top ## Images ![Earlex SS77USSG Steam Generator, 1.3-Gallon Capacity, 12' Hose, Steamer for Wood Bending, Steam Box for Wood, Portable Steam Generator, Steam Wood Bender - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71RFWJNauQL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Can we use it in a bathroom for occasional use?** A: You need to use it in a closed environment. I'm using this in a Vivosun Grow tent that is 36"x36"x72" It will maintain an air temperature of 104 F for roughly 1.5 hours at 75% humidity. If you wrap a packing blanket around the tent it'll maintain 115-120 F. I use this as a wet Sauna for 30 minutes a day and it is awesome. You need to be careful with the input hose. I rigged a PVC elbow pipe outlet so that it flows away from my seated position. It's a very affordable portable alternative time the EMF emitting FIR saunas. **Q: I want to use this for my nose care. Do you think there is no problem? It seems the material is plastic so I am asking** A: I am not sure what "nose care" you want to use this for. It is designed to fill a small chamber with a lot of very hot steam. When the correct time amd temp are achieved it allows you to bend wood for furniture or like I use it, for making wooden sculptural parts. If you are trying to use this like a netty pot I do not think it would work. Try the medical section of Amazon for nasal clearing equipment. **Q: Does anyone know if something like this could work for a home steam room? I do massage at home and I'd like to introduce steam. 12'x12'** A: I think it might. I bought one of these as a replacement for the generator that failed on my sauna tent. I hooked up and found that it works great, but is kind off very warm and can only stay in my sauna tent for about 15 mins. For a larger volume if you bought two of these they could make a very nice small steam room. The only down side is that there is no thermostat - so it just cranks out the steam **Q: How large a steam box( cu ft/ dimensions) is this made to be used with. And what is the temprature in the box 212degrees???** A: My box is 31"L X6 1/4 W X3 1/2 T.The larger sizes I tried just did not work(too much volume I suspect) The biggest source of heat loss is the extra long, thin hose from the manufacturer.I took the hose off of the steamer and inserted a thermometer into the discharge port where it read 212* then reconnected the hose to the box/steamer and it barely got to 198*I then switched to a thicker and much shorter hose and this gave me a steady temp of 200* which is fine for bending ribs. The box does not have to be air tight, some staem should be allowed to escape for a proper flow of steam.Mine is made from plywood double wrapped in foil lined emergency blankets.I think that using pipe insulation around the hose will allow more heat to get to the box.I'll try it next time. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐ Bad product *by R***H on 31 August 2018* Just worked only 2 times and very next day stop working.
