Review: Garbage! - I used it once earlier in the year and all was fine. When I hooked it up to fertilize a second time later this year, I noticed the spreader wheel wasn't spinning. I looked closer and saw everything was rusted, see photo. As I had only used it once with Scott's lawn fertilizer and stored it in a shed, I have no idea why it would rust like that and only in the areas that were in contact with the fertilizer. Did Cub Cadet make this out of materials not compatible with fertilizer? Really? I spun the spreader wheel by hand and got it spinning in its own. I proceeded to fertilize my yard, but found out somewhere along the way it stopped spinning again and was just dumping clumps of fertilizer on my grass, which quickly killed the grass. After the first time I added the agitator. (I put it on the electric motor 8mm shaft. It cost me about 12 bucks) The broadcaster has worked flawlessly for me. I was hesitant about buying it after all the negative reviews. Once I got it and started assembling it, I realized the negative reviews were due to not following directions. It is Not the first cub cadet product I’ve bought and will not be the last.
