It burns really warm, and for us, a third of a bottle will burn for well over an hour and provide a lovely warmth within our 4x6m living room. The flame takes a few minutes to turn from blue to the typical mesmerising amber flame. The bottle has a cap with a small hole for dispencing the liquid directly on to the rock wool. The first time from opening, I would still use a funnel for a better angle, but you can apply directly after that. It does have a slightly stronger than mild odour to it, but this can be overlooked.
