It doesn't allow bi-directional communication, but the antenna line from my radio module (RFM69HCW) is leaky enough to allow some reception with this booster connected. The increase in signal strength seems good so far. I get an extra 20dB at close range. I haven't tested the maximum range yet. I seem to get the best gain increase at short range with GFSK modulation. OOK modulation yielded around 10dB of signal increase. The heatsink requires some forced airflow as it gets too hot for my liking.
