No noticeable noise or distortion added on a garage sound system. I'm sure some noise is there but for several indoor and outdoor speakers in this environment it works great. I do plan to put it in a project box, and a metal box with the audio ground attached to the box would help avoid it picking up unwanted nose from surrounding electrical devices. A small red LED lights with power. The images I added show the labeling, which is a bit hard to see. There's a stereo in and stereo out, both with a common ground. Also an AC or DC input, the listing says it will operate on DC12V-25V, AC9V-18V. There is nothing in the box to reference these.
