The size of the individual compartments is as follows:Length 2"Width 1"height 3/4" **Q: Do the daily compartments snap into the tray so the entire box could be stored vertically?** A: Hey! well that's a great question and I just tested it out. Yes, you can can store it vertically, but on a hard surface I would say, sometimes they come off so they don't snap very tightly. You can remove them individually without applying too much force if you place the box vertically. Once you remove say, Wednesday, which is right in the middle the other ones won't come off unless you do it too hard. It's pretty nice. Like I said snap, but not super tightly, so I would place it vertically on a hard surface in case they do come off. If you are gentle and keep pushing each pair of box against the tray they would stay in place. **Q: We take a lot of vitamins each am & pm wht is the exact size of each compartment please?** A: 1 inch wide by 2 inches long. Large enough for my 10 pills, 2 of which are the very large Fish oil pills. could easily fit several more pills. Only complaint is the tabs that keep lids closed break easily, I had 3 break in first month, so now have rubber band over top to keep closed. Otherwise it works great. **Q: I've used this 3 times and the compartments no longer stay stuck in the tray.
