It works within specifications and the quality was just fine. Review: Unreliable operation - randomly it may not start - The unit (HC-SR08 DDS_AD9850) may not start every time it is powered on, or it may take some time to finally start outputting a signal. The code controlling it is not the issue (proper reset sequence has been implemented), and the same code works flawlessly with another unit (same board layout, from another distributor). The most noticeable difference is that C8 (10uF capacitor, power supply decoupling) is of a different type, seems to be a polarized version in the defective board, and the solder looks "cold" in both ends. I wish I had the option to contact the seller before posting this review, but at this point this unit is not usable for me.
