Review: Simple but effective - Ok, so I'm a weekend warrier DIY'er, not a pro. I've tiled a few rooms using a standard square tile layout without difficulty. When I decided to tile some other rooms in a diagonal pattern, I found myself struggling. This tool changed all that. I set it once and was able to mark out perfect cuts all the way down the walls, including some hard corner cuts. The only place it didn't help me was a few tight spots in a hallway with a section that didn't have full tiles adjacent to the cut tiles -- essentially there wasn't room to use this tool in those spots. I do think it's on the pricey side for the material quality (plastic could be thicker and more rigid), but it saved me enough time and stress that I still give it five stars. We are installing them diagonally, which we have never done before, and we have very crooked walls in this house. This tool made it very easy to cut the side tiles just the right size.
