The connections were not in exactly the same position, requiring a bit of finagling with the wiring, and the sensing bulb was smaller, again requiring a bit if finagling with the mounting. The calibration is accurate enough for cooking and after about 3 months of regular use, it seems to be reliable. I wish they supplied a ring with Fahrenheit calibration but at this temperature range, Fahrenheit is very close to twice centigrade; 150C on the dial is close to 300F.
