Review: Accurate Product - My cholesterol and triglycerides had both gone high recently so the doctor prescribed a different medication and asked me to do blood tests again in 3 months. Meantime, I bought the CardioChek to monitor levels at home. The first few times I used it I don't think the readings were accurate, but after the third time I found it easier to use and got good readings. Everything was down significantly. The true test came when I had another set of tests at the doctor's lab. All numbers were close or right on to the numbers I got with the CardioChek. So this is an accurate product and I shall continue to use so I can monitor my blood levels on a regular basis.
Review: Economical - It was accurate and easy to use. Much cheaper than going to the doctor every month to watch my cholesterol.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Main description says this tests HDL, Total & Trig. Description lower down claims it checks LDL too. True or a misprint? Important info to know.**
A: Total Cholesterol-HDL-(tg*.2) is how you calculate it. You can do that in the address bar of any browser.
For example enter 237-73-(84*.2) in whatever browser you are using and it will show you a calculator page showing 147.2. Just remember to use the parenthesis or your answer will not be right. The parenthesis enforce something called order of operations.

A: This should qualify for flexible spending under medically necessary equipment if you have been diagnosed with cholesterol problems.

**Q: Where can I buy the strips?**
A: From the amazon I don’t think you can find it in the pharmacy

**Q: How much blood is required?**
A: You have to do a seperate test strip, seperate finger stick & seperate 15ul capillary blood collector for each test that you are running.  Each test strip requires an exact, full 15ul amount of blood.  Not enough or too much blood will cause inaccurate results &/or error message. Thank you

It was accurate and easy to use. Much cheaper than going to the doctor every month to watch my cholesterol.

### ⭐ Unacceptable inaccuarcy re cholesterol

This is a return because of unacceptable inaccuracy. I tried the first four tests to come to an understanding of the required blood volume and the process. The fifth test I collected a half an hour after a test collected at LabCorp. The LabCorp result for cholesterol was 237 mg/dL , CardioChek result was 165 mg/dL. That was consistent with a CardioChek result collected one week earlier.
