Review: The Best Knuckles-style Grip for Oculus Quest 2 - Whenever a friend or colleague gets a new Oculus headset, I give them a list of must-have accessories which include AMVR Touch Controller Grip Covers. I consider these a must because a knuckles-style grip is ideal for so many games and experiences that require throwing or opening one's hands. AMVR's Controller Grip Covers have been my go-to solution for both Quest and Quest 2 and they work well. But they're not without a couple downsides. They're too bulky to fit in the Quest 2 case, the rubberized straps wear over time, and they need to be removed anytime the battery needs changing. With these new Hand Grip Straps for Oculus Quest 2 AMVR solves these problems and more. Unlike the Touch Controller Grip Covers, the new Hand Grip Straps do not slip over the bottom of your controller. Instead, the Hand Grip Straps use a plastic cover that replaces the Quest controller's stock battery cover. This cover has attachment points for a leather and velcro strap and fits the Quest controller perfectly. The cover has a secure, removable door allowing easy access to the battery when the need arises. The materials are high quality with excellent fit and finish. With these grips installed, the controllers are just as slim as stock with a clean, minimal design that could have come straight from Oculus. They feel great in the hand and best of all, fit perfectly in the stock Quest 2 Battery Strap Case. How are they in actual use? In a word - fantastic! The leather straps are far more secure than the rubberized elastic straps of the previous model and the grip feels far more natural. One of the issues I had with the previous grips is that they felt like my hand was always riding a bit too high on the controller, no matter how I adjusted them. These feel just right. The straps themselves are durable and I expect them to last much longer than the previous rubberized elastic straps. Finally, the biggest pain point of the previous grips was battery changing. This is now completely solved. Bottom line - These are the grips you want. If you're new to Quest 2, put them at the top of your accessory list. If you have the older grips, get them, you won't be sorry.
Review: It only makes vr better in every way! - The AMVR Touch Controller Grips for Oculus Quest 2 are a practical and affordable upgrade for VR users who want better control, comfort, and convenience during gameplay. Designed with an adjustable leather knuckle strap, these grips allow you to relax your hands without losing hold of the controller—perfect for fast-paced games like Beat Saber or Blade & Sorcery. The standout feature is the custom battery door, which lets you change batteries without removing the grip entirely—a major time-saver and a clever solution to a common VR hassle. Comfort is another strong point. The soft PU leather straps feel sturdy yet breathable, and the elastic band is adjustable for different hand sizes. Once fitted, the controllers stay securely attached even when your hands are open, reducing strain and preventing accidental drops. Although installation can be a bit fiddly at first due to the multiple velcro points, once set up, the grips hold up well under frequent use. Users have also appreciated the thoughtful extras like the nose-light blocker and additional velcro pieces that come in the box. Overall, the AMVR grips offer excellent value at around \$20, especially when compared to pricier alternatives. While some may find the fit slightly snug or the setup a bit tedious, the performance during gameplay more than makes up for it. If you're looking for a reliable grip that enhances immersion, protects your investment, and keeps your sessions comfortable and hands-free, these are easily one of the best accessory choices for Meta Quest 2 owners.

A: No, these are for Quest 2 controllers.

**Q: Any luck checking to see if works with Anker dock ?**

**Q: Is the strap made of real leather or PU leather?**
A: Not made of leather at all. Nylon adjustable strap. Works great and comfortable.

**Q: Will this work on quest 3 controller?**
A: Dear customer,
This product was designed specifically for the oculus quest 2, not for the quest 3. We have a battery cover strap specifically designed for quest 3 that will be available soon, and we believe it will give you a better fit for your quest 3 experience. Please pay attention to our shop news.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better than Kiwi, but not very durable
*by L***E on April 16, 2022*

I was extremely impressed at first, but within a week, the Velcro started coming unglued, and I had to use duct tape to keep it together. But with the duct tape, they work fine, and I still think they're much better than the Kiwi ones I tried, for several reasons: The straps are more comfortable...the Kiwis had attached at the top with a metal ring that dug uncomfortably into the side of my hand, leaving a mark. The silicone grip covers seemed fine, but when I switched to these, I was amazed by how noticeable the weight difference was. Also it turns out they covered two tracking LEDs... I didn't notice any problems... But I've read that due to the location, they are most likely to cause problems when they're outside your field of vision, so you're likely to assume it was your fault you missed. In any case, tracking is the most important thing in VR, and that is the entire purpose of the controllers, so there is absolutely zero excuse for a design that obscures LEDs even if usually doesn't cause noticeable problems. Finally, the Kiwi straps, when Velcroed normally were extremely loose; when tightened firmly, they had to fold the Velcro part and had a lot of extra strap hanging off the bottom which sometimes snagged on things and caused them to often come undone, until I cut off extra material and duck taped them in place so they were no longer adjustable. Summary: Compared to the short Kiwi grips with silicone covers, these are much lighter, don't interfere with tracking, and are much more comfortable. But the Velcro may come unglued. Still worth it.
