This is just a switch that open/closes with temps so will it work?** A: The switch is controlling a heating element in an enclosed space containing plastics, styrene and perishable food, the engineers designed the defrost cycle to behave in a certain way, maximizing frost removal while minimizing defrosting of food at a given set of temperatures. I would recommend that getting a replacement that is an exact match for temps. It might work, but if it fails the consequences are not trivial in many scenarios. I will say that this unit has performed in my application without problem since install. **Q: Will this fit my kitchen aid model krfc300ess00** A: I believe you're asking if the part will work for your refrigerator, if so you better be a decent electrician cause the schematics for Kitchen Aid model is a little different than the Frigidaire model that I successfully installed into. However, in most cases the common function of the Thermostat are all basically the same. You're going to have to take apart you freezer panel where the cooling coils are located and look at the wiring in order to determine if the part can be terminated/installed without making major or minor modifications. As far as if it can physically fit, if there's room, then yes. However, I'm also assuming your issue or major problem is that your freezer is icing up to much and won't defrost, right? ## Frequently Bought Together - 5303918214 Refrigerator Defrost Thermostat by Seentech - Exact use for Frigidaire Kenmore Electrolux - Replace Part Number AP2150145 PS469522 AH469522 EA469522, 75303918214, 892545 - GENUINE Electrolux 242044113 Defrost Heater Assembly - BlueStars 215846602 Refrigerator Defrost Timer Replacement Part - Compatible with Frigidaire & Kenmore Refrigerators - Replaces 215846606 240371001 241621501 AP2111929 PS423801 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/368891738-5303918214-refrigerator-defrost-thermostat-exact-use-for-frigidaire-kenmore-electrolux](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/368891738-5303918214-refrigerator-defrost-thermostat-exact-use-for-frigidaire-kenmore-electrolux) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-11*
