Then ran 4 guy wires from 6' up the pole to the deck. Once the pole was installed, installing the turbine was easy. I'm using the turbine to charge a 2-battery bank in parallel and a 3000W inverter. Consistent power draw with VHF's, stereo, bilge pumps, a 2.5 cubic ft fridge, phone chargers, etc.......is 200-300W. In 10MPH winds or higher, the turbine provides enough charge to maintain battery charge. Lower than that, I can cycle the inverter off and maintain. The company took back the unit and provided a full refund.
