Because I can put them on, and FORGET about them. I just do my JOB. The tread is aggressive enough, yet the sole is both flexible and durable. Metal 'speedlace' eyelets make putting them on a breeze. The seams have held and the materials are durable yet comfortable. If I were active duty, I might need to replace them due to daily wear, however, being that I only wear them four to six days a month, I can foresee them lasting at least another year, and likely beyond.
