A: The base. The top is 16" across.

**Q: What is the height on the 3 gal?**
A: About 4 inches deep

A: It's approximately 12 inches diameter and 12 inches in height.  At least, that's the size of the one I got...

**Q: Would this fit our small 1yr old for a photo shoot? He’s in the 5th percentile for height and weight. Only weighs 17lbs.**
A: Yes, definitely.  My husband and I used this for our wedding ceremony for a foot washing, and it’s plenty large.
