I keep my washer outside. Have had several covers claiming to be waterproof but water still gets in.** A: My machines are outdoors too. While the fabric is waterproof, the opening for the lid just lays there. This allows water to pass underneath the cover and fill the tub. I put stones on the lid cover to keep it put but water inevitably leaks through. Despite this I very much prefer these covers to the zippered ones. They have taken the sun much better than the zippered ones.
