Rome original round pie iron is designed to make individual toasted sandwiches and hand pies that are 4" Diameter. simply open iron, place two slices of buttered bread inside, fill with sweet or savory ingredients, close iron, trim off the excess bread and toast over an open fire. After a few minutes open and enjoy a delicious toasted pudgie pie. Review: Leider zu Winzig! - Nach langer Überlegung habe ich mich entschlossen dieses Pie Iron zu bestellen. Ich wollte ein rundes, da ich es witzig finde auch mal runde Sandwiches zu machen. Aber Leute aufgepasst das Teil ist WINZIG! Der Innendurchmesser der beiden Hälften hat gerade mal 9,5cm am oberen Rand, nach unten verjüngt es sich bis auf knapp 9cm. Meine Sandwich Toastscheiben sind 11 x 11cm. Aus der Beschreibung oben, ist das nicht ersichtlich! Es kommt allerdings mit Rezepten. Die Qualität scheint gut zu sein. Ich werde es nicht testen sondern so wieder zurück schicken

**Q: Will this work with a small gas bbq grill?**
A: Yes it will work with a small or large bbq grill, camp stove, regular stove gas or electric, campfire, bed of coals, can of sterno, blowtorch, or induction heater if you have the cast iron pie iron (not the aluminum) It will not work in a microwave

**Q: What is the diameter of the disk?**
A: I don't now why Amazon can't answer these sort of questions themselves or from their supplier.The external dimension is100 mm and the internal diameter is 95mm

**Q: Also, what is the difference between the 1805 pie maker and the 1205??**
A: The 1205 is called a "Jaffle" iron - an Australian version. Although I don't have a 1205, the specs say it has a larger cooking pan but shorter handles.  It seems to be made more for use on a barbecue, or gas ring rather than for use in a campfire fire ring. Some Jaffle irons by other makers have very short handles. The 1205 by Rome has handles only slightly shorter than the 1805. We have 4 of the 1805s, and love them. They are a great products and fun to take along whenever a campfire is planned. The possibilities for pie iron snacks are nearly endless.

**Q: Are these pie irons American made?**
A: The iron is made in China and then assembled in Peoria,IL

Nach langer Überlegung habe ich mich entschlossen dieses Pie Iron zu bestellen. Ich wollte ein rundes, da ich es witzig finde auch mal runde Sandwiches zu machen. Aber Leute aufgepasst das Teil ist WINZIG! Der Innendurchmesser der beiden Hälften hat gerade mal 9,5cm am oberen Rand, nach unten verjüngt es sich bis auf knapp 9cm.
