I have very short legs, so I've always been on that have had to tippy-toe it while sitting on the toilet. Now I don't have to and I've noticed that I can get a much better position in order to push and that when I'm having a BM it does seem to slide out much, much easier. Also as many others have noted, I'm saving a ton in toilet paper - this puts you into a position that you "clear" the hatch and hardly leave anything behind that has to be wiped off. Which is wonderful for me. I broke my upper right arm and my shoulder in 3 places a few years ago, so reaching back can be very painful at times (I'm also a very large person) - this save me a lot of pain. I'm loving this product - I even use it when I just need to go number 1. I've had a hysterectomy and things have "settled" some, so sometimes it is hard to go. For some reason lifting my legs up onto the steps shifts what ever inside of me and make it easier to release my bladder. I would highly recommend this product. Mostly these gifts are just insulting and disappointing. So this year I explained to him "I don't want another s***ty present. Don't get me anything!"He smiled and said, "Fine, another s***ty gift coming up."When I opened the box on Mother's Day morning while eating my scrambled eggs which the kids made perfectly. "A s***ty present!!" I read the little inserted pamphlet and I was like "har har" So he installed one in the Master Bathroom and the other is for work. This tool is particularly useful for someone who doesn't like or take a laxative and has hard stool. I first saw this product advertised and endorsed in the People's Pharmacy column by Joe and Treasa Graedon. Although I have not used personally, I have watched a relative use this product which helped her to reposition colon by lifting the feet up, but positioning the foot down at an angle, and legs out. On several occasions, I observed how stubborn hard stool finally was dislodged and came out after the patient spent some time being repositioned. And, I know about hard stool. My first job was as an aid in a nursing home when I was still in high school. I helped the bed ridden patient to unload following an enema. As of this writing, I am surprised that not more Physicians are mentioned as endorsing this product! And, why not an endorsement from AARP or FDA? What took this invention so long in coming? Every nursing home needs to have one of these stools!
