It's a fun bottle and is wrapped in plastic to make sure it doesn't leak during shipping, I was very excited to try this hydrating shampoo because I color my hair every 5 weeks and it is fairly dry. First thing I do is smell a new product. This has a nice, subtle clean scent. It is a very subtle scent, which I prefer over strong, perfumed scents. This also tells me it's indeed a natural hair care product. I caution you to slowly pour this into your hand when applying. This has a watery consistency so my first use I poured a liitle to much out. This has a thinner consistency than I'm used to. This does not suds up a lot. This also tells me this is a quality, good natural hair care product. The shampoos that suds up a lot have too many soapy ingredients not the coconut, aloe you find in a natural product. I also suffer from dandruff. I apply this through my hair, then run a scalp brush through my hair to make sure my scalp is coated with this nourishing product. I then leave it in while I continue my shower. When I rinsed this out, my hair was so incredibly clean. I love this shampoo. The subtle scent, the consistency, a little goes a long way, and I didn't even need a conditioner. This is a nice quantity for the price. The bottle is standard size and the price point for me is excellent! I wash my hair every other day to keep it healthy and soft. However since its color treated and it is summer now, it requires a little bit more attention. This shampoo lathers up and washes out effectively. Ive had issues before with shampoos that make me feel like it doesn't fully wash out.My hair is chest length, straight and thin. When it is color treated it dries out for a bit. My hair now has blonde and caramel color in it. This shampoo keeps that color in my hair but that crunch of dryness out!!When I opened the shampoo, I could tell that it didn't have much of a filler to make it creamy or thick. The thickening agents typically used as a conditioning agent are bothersome to me. In this shampoo, the Guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride is similar, but unlike the thickeners it won't dry the hair out at the end of the day. My hair was fine at the end of the day, even without a separate conditioner!The only ingredient I MAY, and that is a large may, be concerned about, is the Polyaminopropyl Biguanide simply because it is synthetic. It truly doesn't seem to pose a large risk and I had zero irritation for the shampoo in its entirety. The viscosity of the shampoo is perfect and exactly what I expected; it is runny yet still foams a bit. This is typical for a sulfate free shampoo in my experience. My hair was clean, moisturized and soft until the end of the day. I look forward to stocking up on this again.
