So far, no issues with the tips being too fragile. This seems like a very nice quality tool The points are perfect for digging in underneath the staples. The angle of the bend near the tip feels a little shallow at times, but if it were deeper I don't think you'd be able to get the leverage you need to jam the points underneath the staple. The points are so sharp I was very mindful during the whole removal process so I wouldn't stab myself, but the handle and ergonomics of the tool did give me a feeling of general control over it. No awkward fumbling while trying to pry the staples out. A few staples broke upon removal because they were so wedged into the wood.
