What I do know is that it works very well and reliably. You may need to use an equalizer of sorts between the guitar and the amp to adjust the sound, but that will depend on your guitar and the amp! In my case, without an equalizer I have a lot of low mids that make the sound a bit murky, but cleans up well with the equalizer.
