However it's a very handy tool to gauge. 22 rimfire muzzles which get blown out pretty easy after be cleaned for years with steel rods. It will let you know when it's time for a recrowning or new barrel to keep your accuracy. I found 2 rugers that needed a simple recrowning.... which did in fact tighten my groups. I would definitely want this if buying a used .22 & way better than makeshift gauges. Only con is it is expensive for what you get. While gauging, fixing my .22s is great this tiny bit of steel wasn't cheap and it's not like I'm going to use it daily. But on the plus side it has saved me from possibly buying 2 new ruger barrels and possible bad purchases in the future.
