When I was living/studying medicine in china, tumblers similar to this were EVERYWHERE in the hospitals. The Dr.s would sit at their consultation tables and sip the regional tea all day. Unfortunately, being glass, it did break in my suitcase while flying home. :-( I've been looking for a substitute ever since.This one is taller and much more sturdy feeling than mine from China. The glass feels extremely solid. It came in a gorgeous modern sleek box/container, so nice it felt like a shame to throw it out. Because of the nice box this would make a great gift, it just makes it feel very special and high quality.The design for holding the strainer is a bit different from the ones in China, but works just as well.
