The only problem I had was that the clay rippled when my child pressed into it. Once it dried, it also cracked in a few places. Like others had said, I saved some of the clay, and ended up filling in the cracks the next day. The ripples and the spots that I patched up looked kind of bad, so I ended up using some fine sandpaper and did a quick sanding to smooth it out. Besides difficulties of having a baby feet and hands keep from curling. The biggest challenge we had was making it "level". there was actually extra clay and we used it from the packet and it was too much, so it was sticking above the recessed area, making us put a lot of tape and things to raise the rest of the frame to the same height. We tried leveling it after we did the hand and foot print, but got a lot of wrinkles.
